The SKN Marathon 50 2026 was a community-driven neighbourhood run organised by Sri Kapaleeswarar Nagar Residents Welfare Association Neelankarai (SKNRWAN), as part of its 50-year celebrations on 25th Jan. More than just a marathon, the event was designed as a Dengue Awareness Run & Walkathon, bringing together families, senior citizens, youth, and fitness enthusiasts from SKN and adjoining streets.
Structured as a 2 KM and 5 KM run along with a walkathon. Despite unexpected rainfall in the morning of the event, over 300 participants showed up enthusiastically. The rain transformed the atmosphere into something even more memorable, residents ran, walked, laughed, and celebrated together, reinforcing the true spirit of the neighbourhood.
